Joining the group
We are always looking for talented postdocs and Ph.D. and undergraduate students. It is expected that students have an outstanding understanding of algorithm design and analysis and/or strong programming skills. Knowledge of biology can be helpful but is not required.
If you are a postdoc interested in joining the lab, please send a CV and cover letter in an email. If you are an undergrad interested in joining the lab, please read more here. If you are interested in joining the lab as a graduate student and are enrolled in Penn State, please send an email. If you are not currently enrolled, you must first apply to the Ph.D. program. For application instructions through CSE, please visit here. If you already have biological or bioinformatics background, you might also consider in applying through Penn State’s Bioinformatics and Genomics graduate program. Please note that due to the quantity of email I receive, I may not directly respond to emails regarding admissions.
